ShredsterrI still remember my first night hitting a box. I was scared as fucking shit, but it was a solid way to start. Keep your weight on your front foot, and I'd say keep your centre of gravity low, but I actually can do tricks better when I'm standing straighter upright. It's really about just practicing over and over, getting down the basics, and then pushing yourself to progress. Don't worry about other people either, one of my regrets was worrying that better skiers were judging me, and I focused more on that than what I was trying to do. So just don't give a flying anus about judgement, and you'll be golden.
Haha definitely.
Also, I tried hitting a down tube a bunch of times the past couple times I've gone up(hit it probably ~20 times) but just haven't been able to get confident on it. The majority of times my skis slipped out and I just fell backwards, a couple times I managed to get to the end and slide off.
For doing flat slides on boxes what should I be focusing on doing? Where should I be looking, knees bent or not, stance width, etc.?
Thanks again for all the positive feedback!
