Alyeska + Heli

Hi NS

I'm looking to go to alaska this year and ski some hell lines - was thinking about the alyeska + chugach powder guides deal. Anyone been or have recommendations?

We're looking to ski big steep lines.

Alyeska is an epic resort. Lots of great steeps and bowls. Not as much tree skiing, but it's a great time. Have heard good thing from buddies who have skied with Chugach, but when I was up there, it was snowing too much for the heli to fly. Not an awful problem, though...

So is it best to go to the resort and just try to fly if its sunny or do I need to book the hell time?

I would recommend booking it to ensure a spot but be sure to ask them about their weather policy

Go to Valdez. MUCH better heli skiing imo.

Go to Alyeska! There are also lots of great ski resorts with affordable prices that deserve best for you. Check the link.

Okay man, make sure to look at the snow report before you book it, either you hit a insane bluebird pow day/week, or get ice and crazy flat light.
