I remember the first time I thought about this in 7th grade.

But seriously, they were just too ahead of their time. The world wasn't ready, straight up. That's why their music still bangs today IMO. If they weren't the TRUE thugs they were then, yeah they would still be alive and prolly washed up. But they were thugs, and that's what happened so you might as well be saying if Walter White didn't get cancer he would still be a HS chem teacher.

if you think snoop is washed up you have a distorted vision of the hip hop industry.
the only thing rappers want in life is to make money and be powerful. being "washed up" and a "sell out" is the goal in rap.

imo a washed up rapper is a someone who fades away without leaving an impression. like craig mack.

Not a chance. They're rich due to a business sense and constant need for expansion. They're rich because they aren't limited to one area in music or anything really.
