Replying to Why progression is important even if you are not going pro
I am 21 years old and in the what i see as the prime of my freeskiing career. I can do front and back 4s, kfeds, 5s and backflips. I live and on the east coast and ski a medium number of days in per year so I know I am never going pro. However, I still enjoy pushing myself to progress whether its hiking for hours or training on tramps because the feeling of learning and then stomping clean a new tricks is unparalleled. The first time you land a new trick feels just as good as it did for pros when they first landed it for the first time. Progression is definitely an awesome part of skiing and for me its something that makes freeskiing as special as it is.
