it's not standard but it is GREATLY appreciated, and it will probably get you even better service in the future. if your bootfitter is friendly and helpful and they make your boots feel good then they probably deserve a tip, anything is appreciated.. beer, money, gift cards, even a good solid handshake and a sincere thank-you goes a long way

Yes, that's why they wear a garter belt when they are fitting your boots. Always bring a few singles with you when you go for a fitting.

I think we should start it. Get that motherfucker a 26er of some half decent scotch.

I mean really, without your boot fitter, skiing fucking sucks a big fat one.

Quoting for emphasis. There is not one boot-fitter in the history of the world who would not appreciate a high five, 6er, a fifth, or donuts. Any of them will go a long way and you will for sure be remembered for your generosity.

Depends. If he did a good job yes, but you can only know that after you used your boots. So if he did a good job and your boots feel like a comfy pair of slippers, sure!
