Do it all park sticks

I'm 6'5" 230 and ski rails, some jumps, and all over. Yes I know that's not your conventional size but we can't all be 5'something spinning and flipping off shit. Be riding mostly in CO (summit area) and South Dakota.

I'm looking for a longer ski, midwide, flexy enough to have fun on but stiff enough to charge. I wouldn't mind if they're easy to whip around too.
I've been riding around on 184 afterbangs because I was broke. they were fun in the park but the minute I started maching down chop I could feel the reaper flying behind.

I've been looking at the Al Dente in a 188 and considering the All Mtn. Blanks from surface (previously owned green lifes and had fun on them until ripping out a fks heelpeice 2 times) Am I on the right track and are there others I should be looking at?

Also look on3p kartels 98 (or 106 if you want something longer) they are good for literally everything

came to say the kartels as well. mid-stiff do anything ski that comes in 2 widths so you can choose based on where you ski the most.

I would also look at the Kartels. I debated getting them myself. Also look at the Candide 2.0. And the Al Dente could work also. I haven't looked into surface at all though, so I have no idea on that one.

I like the look of the Kartel's I just have a hard time dishing out $650. the purchase is gonna be based off my school refund (yay scholarships) so we'll get a good idea of a budget next week.

I'm sure we've hiked some shit as a group at one point in time if you ride at terry.

I've read they're super flexy and someone of my stature would fold them pretty easy, I'd love to be wrong though.

Yes we sure have!

Check out the moment pb$j and look for last years model. Couple of my buddies found theirs around this time last head for like $350. Super good skis also.

If you are looking to go a little wider (108 underfoot) there is the 4frnt Devastators on steep and cheap for $300 right now. I would recommend them.

Blanks!!!!! They are cheap and they have them in the double time shape this year which, from my experience, is an amazing shape! Exactly what your looking for, they have a medium-stiff flex according to the website so that would be good. I have double times and they are the best park ski i have ridden. Camber is the best in park. Unless your buttering.

I would recommend the blanks for sure!

But they aren't cheap because they're made in the US, use thick bases and edges, and in my experience, have lasted longer under park abuse than the cheaper skis I've had. If it's a difference of $200, better to get the extra life out of one pair than rip though something less well made.

Looking at the All Mtn. My reservation with those is that I've cranked out a heel piece on a pair of Green Lifes to the point of totaling the ski. Granted they were mounted with old fks and I pretty much never ejected.

I'm in the same situation. I'm sick of buying a regular cambered boring park ski and want something that is a solid ski all over the mountain but doesn't sacrifice performance in the park. The most important factor for me is something that is going to be stable on jumps (50-60 ft) but is also capable of buttering. The Kartel seems to fit that category for me but the price is the only factor that is holding me back I've just never dropped that much money on a ski before and money is a little tight for me right now. I figure that if I'm going to drop at least 400 then I might as well just spend the extra money and get something that is going to be bombproof. I'm just not convinced yet though.

Im a pretty big guy too, (6'4 218) and from my personal experience the Al Dentes were not as great as everyone said. the topsheet peeled super easy. the tail was way stiffer than the nose (i was center mounted) and the ski just didnt live up to the hype it was given. lets face it you could put a pair of waxxed 2x4s under edollo and he'd still shred them. I got some TC 2014s and im pretty excited to see how they turn out, I can already tell that they're a solid ski.

Check out APO. The pair of park skis I had charged unbelievably well and I've heard the same from the wider models. They are also cheaper and still quality

I have Kartel 98's, and obviously you know I'm gonna say that they are a phenomenal ski. I love them.

I actually noticed the K2 Shreditor 102 this year at a shop. They looked like pretty sick sticks for an all-mountain/job ski. They are like $550 though. My friend has Al Dente's and he loves them. The J-skis All-Play I've heard are nice too. Unfortunately if you are looking for a wider ski and a lot of durability the price goes up a little.
