Cut my own skins or have shop do it?

Just got my first AT setup and wondering if I should cut my own skins or play it safe and have a shop handle it? the shop would probably do a better job

g3's tool makes it easier if you were gonna diy

Don't wreck a new pair of skins to save a couple bucks.

Either find a buddy or acquaintance who knows what they are doing, or hit the shop.

i actually was in the same dillema. i just bought new Black diamond skins for my touring setup and was super scared to cut them myself. so i took them to my shop, and they did a good job trimming the skins length wise, but a crappy job width wise. so i had to borrow my friends G3 trimming tool (which is really easy and handy to use) and properly trimmed the sides. so bottom line, if your shop is dependable, let them do it, if they arent, buy a G3 trim tool (specifically the g3 tool) and do it yourself.
