Replying to South America Argentina

I know the season is basically upon us up here in North America, however I am already planning a trip down to the South. I have looked through many of the threads and seen that people really enjoy going to Argentina because of price, girls, beer, and of course skiing. My question is for the people that have been down there, how much is the cost roughly? What should I except to spend and where is the best park currently? Is going with a travel agency better? I am planning on at least a month and month and a half there. Have seen a lot of threads but they are from 05/06. Anyway any words would be much appreciated. Feel free to message me or whatever.
