..but I don't see the big deal about this shit anymore. Having lived in Ashland, Bend, and Eugene... there's no shortage of cheap, recreational ganj, and the cops really don't care as long as you're not blowing it in peoples face.

...perhaps it means more to the brownskinned folks that are profiled, but even then - it's Oregon. There's not enough to even profile. State is whiiite

It's fitting that a state named after an herb, legalises herb.*

As cool as it is that Oregon has legalized weed it is going to be controlled by the OLCC which will be a nightmare for everyone.

Note: If you don't know what the OLCC is, it is the Oregon Liquor and Control Comity. Essentially Oregon has some of the strictest laws on alcohol let alone now they are going to be enforcing weed. They walk around with quotas to fill on writing up underage kids for drinking and now marijuana. Frankly it would have been better if it had not passed at all imho.

Its still good it passed. cannabis is not longer a crime to purchase and smoke if you are 21. Before they would definitely go after you if you were smoking weed. Now they don't. In Washington I can have weed in plain sight of police and not have any shit hit the fan. They police don't want to deal with it.
