Just because a pile of evidence and facts points one way or the other doesn't mean its the news source presenting their personal opinion on the matter. That's the difference between smart people and Republicans, Republicans view opinions as fact whereas smart people base their opinions on facts.

Genetic disorders have nothing to do with age, although you are correct there is a higher probability something can go wrong with older woman. but it can't be compared to incest the numbers are still really really far apart.
Now I'll give you what you want. HIV is being spread through homosexuals, because they don't use condoms, and it is much more easier to contracted through the anal cavity than the vaginal. so if that's your view why not try to make homosexual sex illegal. I still don't see it as a public hazard and I don't see all of us getting HIV from gay people. that also has nothing to do with marriage.
milk_manIt isn't mentioned directly in the ten commandments but since homosexuality is considered adultery and an abomination in the Bible puts it under commandment 7. "You shall not commit adultery."

I never said incest doesn't cause more complication. A child born to cousins is twice as likely to have a congenital disease as a child born to unrelated parents. Seems high until you compare it to the risk of a child having complications when born to older women. Women over 40 have a more than ten time greater risk than their 30 year old counterparts of birthing a child with a congenital disease. If the risk of congenital disease is really the reason you think incest should be illegal, then you should also think having sex with women over 40 should be illegal.
However, congenital diseases are not the reason you oppose incest. You oppose incest because you find it abhorrent. Which is exactly the same reason I oppose gay marriage. So stop pretending like you're ethically superior just because you don't get grossed out by the thought of two men having sex.
Currently, in most states incest is a felony offense carrying a mandatory jail sentence. You know what the penalty for illegally getting gay married is? Probably not because there is none. There are people all over Alabama that can't have intercourse with the ones they love without the threat jail time hanging over their heads. If you had any semblance of intellectual integrity, this would piss you the fuck off. The fact that it doesn't is why you have absolutely no basis to criticize my beliefs on marriage law.

To be honest, I don't really care about incest either - if it's a consensual situation, love is love, I guess? - But I'm not going to advocate for it because it's not a sexual orientation like homosexuality is. Your arguments against gays not being able to marry in my mind might as well be the same as a notion that blonde people shouldn't marry because they creep you out.
