so i was blessed with not one, but two swedish ski flicks under my tree this morning. Broken Radio's Pass It On, and Absence. Absence was ok, i'm going to have to watch it again, but it definitely didn't live up to Pass It On in my book. While I know pretty much no detail on either, I assume some of it has to do with budget. In any case I figured I'd throw down some words for Pass It On and tell you all to go to go to www.freeride.nu and throw down the many $$s it takes to get it. Keep in mind, I'm subject to my own opinions.
The movie has a running plot between segs of a postman that has to deliver a package, but is intercepted by each rider. It's very clever and very amusing.
The skiing was sick, a good mix of park and BC, and a quick sled sectino which wasn't too bad as far as watching sledding goes. The sound track was solid, started with The Sounds... lots of similar music... I'm already forgetting a bunch from my first viewing but i wasn't disappointed in the least. There is a lot of great skiing displayed by Lars Veen and Jacob Wester and Jon Larsson... pretty much everyone. Check out trailers on freeride.nu and I'll give a real review someday. In the mean time, just remember, there's some sick stuff going down on the other side of the pond too.
