theBearJewSo many friends of mine who went to FSU are so crabby right now about the rankings. It's so funny.
AT-ATInteresting to see that the committee kicked undefeated FSU down to fourth. It would seem that they are putting more emphasis on your portfolio and not just your record.
If one of the top four teams lose this coming weekend this could get a little crazy.

Just imagin how pissed people would be with the BCS right now. It would be FSU vs Bama and Oregon would be the odd man out. TCU, baylor and Ohio St would all have a gripe too

.Hugo.ya, i think ( and hope) we will see these power schools stop playing fcs teams too. the sec as a whole was the worst theyve been in years, yet they still get inflated rankings. i think oregon should be ahead of bama, but sec....
El_Barto.But even if you look at the non-conference OSUs was still weak. They lost to the one team that has any credibility in VaTech who was 6-6.
I still think the SEC is hands down the best in terms of depth. Nobody even comes close to them. Bama, aurburn, LSU, Georgia, Miss st and ole Miss. Would anyone choose Baylor to beat any of those teams? I wouldnt even though the likes of LSU, Georgia and Auburn didnt have stellar seasons.
The Pac sucks aside from Oregon. Big10 sucks aside from OSU, big12 is just meh without Texas and Oklahoma. Dont get me started on the ACC
StoseOregon has a waltz into the national championship. Fsu is barely winning. And oregon has a full healthy team. Hopefully this will be our first year of winning it all

Their entire season they had one blowout. They aren't this crazy good team that's shocking everyone they play. Consider the fact they are undefeated and still not good enough to be ranked 1 or 2.

.Duncan.I think FSU is a classic example of a team playing to the level of their opponent. They've done it all season but in big games such as Georgia Tech they rise to the occasion and get the win. I personally hope they get smashed by Oregon but I'm expecting them to put up quite the fight.

.Hugo.Just as i thought, your making your argument based off scores you look at on espn, not from watching them play. you sound like somone who just jumped on the oregon bandwagon when they started going to school there because thats the "cool thing to do" at uo.
if you had watched any of their games you would see that its just as duncan up there said, they are playing down to their opponents level, mostly in the 1st half. then winston comes out like a god damn superhuman in the second half and lights up the other team for the win. all they have to do is have winston play a full game like hes played the second half of most games this year and they can beat anyone in the country. when hes on they look as good, if not better than last years team.
StoseIf only football were based on second half effort and not scoreboards. If they had one solid win the whole season they would be taken seriously and not be put in the 3rd spot as an undefeated team. And I mean tell me all you want that they are a good team, but if they were really that good they wouldn't be ranked 3 they would be 1

i never said i think florida state would beat oregon, just that thinking oregon is gonna waltz by them is being naive. if you knew anything about college football, and teams outside of eugene you would probably know this
