New full tilt high five and booter buckles?

Does anyone know why they changed the buckle design on the High Five and Booter? I have the High Five and feel like the top buckle caused pain and if other people were experiencing the same problem and why they changed the design. thanks

The High Five and Booter are just re-branded Roxa boots from their freestyle molds. Roxa switched buckle designs last year while Full Tilt continued to have their boots produced with the old style buckle. The 2015 full tilts now have the new design. In my opinion, it's simpler and cleaner. In the end it probably came down to production needs for Roxa, the fewer variations they have to produce the more cost effective it is. They weren't using the old buckle style for their line so why continue to use it on boot branded for Full Tilt.

I would think the new design provides a greater level of fine adjustment too.
