Sony HDR-as15 or GoPro hero 3?

So I'm in the market for action cams and I've boiled it down to these two. The only thing holding me back on the HDR is where to mount it. I know they have a setup where you can attach it to your goggle strap, that just seems like it would produce a floppy quality. Anyone have some input, I've never owned one before. The HDR is cheaper but Go Pro has been doing this for years so I feel like they have nailed everything.

Depends which version of the hero you're looking at. Hero 3+ Black will now have come down in price, so is probably closer in price to the Sony (it'll still be more expensive), but the video quality will be better. I've not used a Sony, or a Hero 3 - I'm still at hero 2.
The GoPro haters will be along to tell you not to get one - but GoPro are the biggest company in this field for a reason - their product, as long as it works properly, is top notch. They have more accessories than you'll ever need, and from from my experience, good customer service. However Sony as a whole is obviously a far bigger company...
Up to you man, the Sony isn't a bad camera, and if cost is an issue, then have a good look at both before making your mind up. Have a look through some videos on youtube, put them on full HD, and decide for yourself.

Thanks man, I've recently done my searching and looks like they are pretty even given the GoPro takes the cake in a few cases but I just can't passup 720p 120fps ultra slow mo! Seems pretty stable with all mounts and I already have an idea on how to mount it, (involves duck tape!) thanks again!
