PC May 20-24

Hey NS,

Looking to take a trip to park city over April break which for me is the 20 through the 24. I'm trying to get a feel for what the skiing will be like. It seems like for the most part it will be slush. Is there anywhere in Utah that will get pow that late in the season? Trying to figure out what to expect in terms of snow conditions.

everyone cept the bird closes on or around 420 may is the 5th month of the year
a simple google search would revel 4 19 as this seasons projected closing date
the weather guessers can't predict 24 hours w/ any degree of accuracy
so 5 months out your guess is as good as theirs.

I had my deepest day of the year in April last season, so anything is possible.

but the resorts will not be open, except for maybeee the bird

Do not expect pow anywhere. Be prepared for slush, rocks and t-shirt skiing.

Most resorts are closing the 19th.

Bird probably is all that is open.

Thanks guys!

Felt like it was a stupid question seeing as it was late april but I have been to CO and have known them to get storms that late and I just wasn't sure how Utah compared.

why go to Utah that late? Spring skiing means corn, sun, and cold beers...something California has in spades that time of year. Yes, even last year.

ya definitely not worth it to go that late based on what people have said. Looks like I'll be going in February instead.

February is the best month to ski. And if you come in February, don't go to the PC resorts, go to BCC or LCC resorts

April or May? Your title disagrees with your post.

In April there's a reasonable chance of pow. The Cottonwood Canyons, especially Little Cottonwood Canyon, get more snow than the Park City area, but any of them could get pow.

In May, unlikely for pow, and nowhere except Snowbird will be open.
