Robin Thicke Marvin Gaye Lawsuit

Apparently Marvin Gaye is suing Robin Thicke for Blurred Lines because it sounds very similar to Got to Give it Up. Robin Thicke apparently lost in the first round today. Don't know how this will play out. One of the previous lawsuits I can think of like think was Vanilla Ice and The Beatles and Vanilla Ice won.

i dont really know enough about music (like chords and shit) to have an opinion. but i think i heard on talk radio that one of robin thicke's defenses was that he was too high at the time to realize it and i was like "touche, musicians should appreciate that defense"

This. Marvin Gaye died in 1984...

While I don't particularly care if music was stolen/copied/whatever, Marvin Gaye is the man and put out amazing music and Robin Thicke... well... doesn't.

Gaye has been dead for over 30 years. Its his trust that is going after Thicke. But yes Thicke is a tool bag and should be sued. All he had to do was notify the trust and pay a percent. But being the douche he is he thought he could get around it. Pay up Sucka!
