Yo.
I manage the tune shop at Pioneer Sports in Frisco. I've convinced our GM to allow me to offer a discount to Newschoolers of any kind(on or offline)..
prices would be:
$10-edge & wax.
$25-stone grind +^
$35-PTex work(& minor coreshots) +^^
$45 & up for major gouges, delam/epoxy work, edge repair/replace, etc. +^^^.
Park skiers desperately need tunes.
Smooth edges do wonders on both snow and metal.
The edge angles i ride dig hard into snow and have never hung up on a rail(for me).
I can do custom edge profiles, within reason. I'm big on varying angles on rocker skis, i'll tell you all about the what's and why's if you bring your skis in.
A stone grind will flatten and pattern your base, which will give you much more consistent speed. A decent pattern and the right wax and you can clear big jumps on slow days.
It goes without saying, but coreshots and delams let water in, and then your skis go into self-destruct mode..We can repair all sorts of nonsense..just do it before the water gets in..
Just mention "discount", and anything about park riding or newschoolers. I'll offer it all season..let me tune your skis i can guarantee you'll enjoy it.
Hope to see you all in there. Right next to WalMart in Frisco.
