There is one legitimate reason; the NOAA forecasts they "advertise" and brag about on Unofficial are for around the 10,000' elevation mark on Mount Baker, the actual mountain. That is to say, NOT the ski area Mt. Baker, which just happens to be in the vicinity, nor an area that is easily accessible for you to ski.
If you are concerned about Mt. Baker's (the ski area) forecast, do yourself a favor and look it up yourself.
