ARMADA ALPHA X 176cm (2014)

These skis are still in great shape. They have a little surface rust that has built up over the summer and a few minor scratches, but no edge cracks or core shots. I spend the majority of my time skiing behind the lens of a camera and therefore not doing too much to damage the skis. I will be shipping them flat, with the holes filled in. The Alpha X received a bit of a makeover this season. Most notably, a wider platform adds stability and enhances the ability of this five-dimensional ski to romp all over the hill. The new features were a hit among our testers, and the ski earns Editor’s Pick status for the first time. The Alpha X is a veritable force in the park. “Throw this thing on its tips or tails and press away,” commented one tester. It’s “solid for big jumps,” added another. And with Armada’s Comp Series base, you’ll have speed to clear ’em even on the slow days.
