DSLR help

i have used the nikon d3200(i dont have it anymore i rented it for like a year lol) alot and i know how to take good photos on it cause i took a course on photograghy but i am new to videography and i was thinking of picking up a dslr and getting into making edits and stuff. so i was wondering what camera do you guys think would be better for taking photos but can still get some sick shots i was thinking nikon d3200 or a canon but i was looking at the canon 60d and 50d but then i shit a brick when i saw the prices haha im looking for something in the 900 and under range (not including extra lens) so NS what camera should i get. recomendations?

or ya know i could get those sick cinematic shots with my gopro hero 3 silver haha

depends on budget. I saw under $900 for the body, but how much do you have for everything else. If you have more than $1000 for glass/support, then feel free to get something on the more expensive end of your range, like a gh3 (about $750 on keh currently). If you don't have much more to spend, then I would encourage you to get a cheaper body. T2i's are under $300 on keh. Not the newest, latest, or greatest, but more than capable of creating great looking videos with. Many members on here have used one at some point. While newer, better cameras may exist, it doesn't suddenly make the quality from the t2i any worse. Use the extra money to get lenses (tokina 11-16 is about $400, tamron 17-50 is even less), a microphone (about $100 for a decent shotgun) , and a tripod and/or glidecam. Add some nd filters (or a variable nd and adapters), then just load up on memory cards and batteries and you are good to go.

no problem. If you can provide more details, I can provide better answers. For reference, I have owned a gh2, a 7d (same sensor as t2i), blackmagic pocket camera, og gopro, hero 4 black, and messed around with some others. Nothing super fancy overall, and far from every camera, but many of those or similar ones fall into your price range, so fee free to ask about any, or how other models compare.

No excuses, this is not 1994 where anything regarding this matter is any way, shape or form hard to accomplish.
