Never every season unless something breaks, but I will have to this year because my brand new Jeronimos got stolen last year and I have to replace them :(

I only get new gear when I have to. I've had my morphics for three seasons and never needed to replace them just because there's no need to.

when it comes do hardware (skis or boots) i'll only get new gear if its breaks, although when it comes to outerwear, i've always been a sucker for new apparel, il usually end up getting a little job for the summer (1-2 weeks) to probably fund a new hoodie, or either a new jacket or a new pair of pants but never more.

I got new skis and boots this year after being on the same ones since 2013 but I mean still. My boots didn't fit as well as I wanted them to and my skis were destroyed from the park. This year I got on3p's so I'm hoping it's awhile before I replace them. I'm getting cat tracks too so I can have my boots for awhile. I got a lot of new outerwear last year so this year I got a hoodie for my birthday.

Me !! I break my ski in a jib so I buyed some coreupt yard and marker squire. And i got some new full tilt boots and a new saga jacket with a helmet (giro combyn)

I'll refresh the whole kit about every 3 years. Except boots, if I find a boot that works I'll ski it for a while and just replace the liner if it gets packed out too bad.

Always check out the local ski swap for last years gear, usually find something fun and unmounted for cheap

I'll replace hardware every few years, but jackets etc. every two or so, I started working in a ski shop too, so it's more reasonable

I wear my boots until they're completely fucked up. I buy new skis maybe every other season. For outerwear, I have so many pro deals, it's hard not to get new stuff every season

I never get anything new unless I absolutely have to. My pants gloves and jackets etc usually have to survive at least 3 or 4 seasons hold together by sports tape until I find a really good deal on something to replace theme, hardware is changed as soon as it breaks. Only thing I try to change out every other season or so is my helmet.

I was still growing and I destroy gear. So Yes basically new stuff every year for past three years. but now i'm done growing so I'll keep shit until it brakes or unless I get a crazy good deal.

I ski my gear into the ground before I replace it, but I usually end up with a couple pairs of used skis people give me for free or super cheap every year.

I go to the ski swap every year and pick up a couple pairs of beat up powder skis for no more than $100 each. Usually a year or two old. Then I ride them into the ground, and chuck em when the edges fall apart. I like trying new shapes and flexes each year, but I really don't mind riding someone's old stuff. I'll be rockin some beat to shit RMU Professors this year that I found at a garage sale for $60. Montana is rough on skis. Luckily Ptex is cheap.

Brand new skis will be a luxury I enjoy when I have a proper income as an engineer. Maybe a New Skidoo as well...

Trashed my CRJs so I got two new ski setups to replace it and new boots last year. I hardly got to use any of it due to Tahoes piss poor season so I'll be rocking them for a few seasons hopefully.

This is my second year of getting a head to toe brand new set up. last year I did TNF and volkls, this year is gonna be Helly Hansen and, well, new volkls (gotta love those volkls)

Ive been skiing for three years (snowboarded before) and i've had the same skis all three years. I made a deal with my dad though that if I was still into skiing in three of four years i would get a new set up and here i am still loving it so I'm probably getting new skis for christmas. Most likely a big upgrade from mine now especially since I'm really getting into the freeskiing scene.

This. I usually get 1-2 pairs a year, a pair of bindings, and a shit ton of outerwear/hoodies. all of it is bough on sale though.

I've added a ski every year for the past 5, but last season I ruined my jacket, pants, boots, and gloves so I got a whole new kit.
I usually just add things here and there.

Usually got to get a new pair of park skis once or twice a season cause they just get beat to shit and don't function very well anymore (dead core/no edges) or straight up snap

I try not to but this year I am on a whole new setup, last years Shreditor 112'a with guardians (thanks Division Bell) I have never bought a ski in its current model year though.

As far as outerwear goes, I usually try to trade for stuff. Last year I got the LDC eagle so I won't need a new coat for a while though. I love new gear and hated spending money.

I normally replace things as I need to so I never ends up getting a whole new set up every season but normally I get something. Like this year I'm getting a new helmet and jacket but this is my this season in my skis

I buy one pair of NEW skis every two years for park, then do this for my rare all mountain/powdah days.

Ill get new skis every other year (But tend to rotate between a park setup and backcountry setup)

New skis every year for the past 4 year... I only save up for ski stuff and drop +$300 every year...damn. I didn't need to 3 years ago but now my skis get absolutely trashed in 3 months so it can't be helped am I the only one that does this?

Usually I get new skis nowadays whenever I need them. I try to use one pair of park skis for urban and the mountains each season. I use them on rocks, trees and metal rails. Generally I'm pretty easy on gear, but this previous season my skis took a beating so I got a full new setup. Boots last me around 2 years or so roughly though

I usually go through atleast 1-2 pairs of park skis a season. This past season was death on me and I ended up needing to replace 4 pairs of park skis. Been rocking my long rang touring skis for 5 years, a pair of 2011 Hellbents, and a new pair of Double Helix's with Guardians on em this season though so I've done alright holding together my pow skis.

I pretty much ride my skis until they're not rideable anymore. i usually get 2-3 seasons out of my skis and Ive had my k2's for a year and a half now. I've had the same boots for 5 years so I definitely need new ones this season. For outerwear I get a jacket pretty much every year. I don't necessarily need them but I buy them anyways. goggles, gloves, helmet, poles, etc I buy as needed. Although this season Im gonna see how I like going without poles

Holy nice quiver. 4 pair of park sticks in a season is brutal though. Do you hit a lot of really rough rails or something?

I wish I could get new setups every year, but sadly I have to buy my own stuff too. I have last seasons k2 presses and i'm hoping they get through the season. I'm worried about my bindings because I had an issue with my heel piece last season so cross the toes for me. As far as outerwear i'm addicted lol more so with hoodies and beanies. I only have one nice jacket and pants

The amount of park skis you go through in a year is totally dependent on how hard you hit shit, and how much you ski. I mean if you're riding 100+ days per year and hitting rails all day every day... you can really fuck up a set of sticks.

Depends on the company and how far it goes before you consider a pair of skis 'trashed'. I know some guys ride them until they're sliding on grooved-out cores... and some will replace after breaking out a few pieces of edge.

I never have enough skis. I like to stick by the motto of "never pay retail" and such makes it possible. Last season I skipped out on new skis cause I had gotten a pair halfway through the previous season and they were like new. But this year, granted my friends finally buy my old pairs off me, I'm not just getting one new pair (already copped Line TC's)-- but TWO new pairs :o

It kinda bugs me when you see people with all new stuff every year, even though their old stuff is in perfect shape.

I certainly buy more skis than I intend to, and should, but I love the feeling of riding brand new skis for the first time. The anticipation versus expectations versus the actual riding sensation is addicting.

Thinking back, I've purchased at least one new pair a season for the past 10 years or so. My quiver has been a non-stop revolving door of skis.

On the flip side, I always have ski gear for sale to hook up the next stoked owner.

(I have a pair of freshly mounted and freshly unmounted skis sitting next to me as I typed this. Such is the life of a gear whore.)
