Log rail?

Anybody ever made a log rail in a backyard setup before? Do I need to wax or can I just debark, and, and ride? Just seems like you would catch an edge or just not move on the wood.

But honestly pour some water on it and let it freeze overnight.

you will need to get the layer below the bark off before riding. That stuff is wicked grippy. My friends made one last winter and they basically shaved it down to the fresh wood underneath (it was a fairly young tree) and they just sprayed layers of water over it to give it a thing ice crust. slides like a charm
