What is the cheapest but best type of standard action stabilizer? I have found some offers like $200 for a HD Glidecam HD 1000 and don't know if thats the best choice vs making one myself if I can do so for cheaper... Advice plz

I am 100% sure you could make one for cheaper but unless you put some serious time and thought into the build you might not be happy with the result. It's also is going to depend if you are trying to mount a go pro on it or using it for a DSLR. If you want a nice, smooth shot it might be worth sacking up and spending some money for a real one.
