I'm gonna be 16 next this winter and have never put in for any sort of sponsorship. How good should a 16 year old be to get sponsored by an average local ski shop or small company?

Have a solid rail game (at least slide every rail)

Have a solid jump game (depending on the shop 360s with grabs)

It also varies by shop

My shop sponsored my friend when he was 13 and could slide a rail, and do a 540.

A shop close to me wants guys that have some inverts and good rail tricks

my local shop wont sponsor anyone unless they work there or can double.

Its not how good you are its how well known you are in the ski industry or how well you do in competitions
