Defacing of National Parks

If you haven't seen this story yet, a New York woman traveled through a bunch of national parks (Death Valley, Zion, Arches, RMNP, and others) this summer and painted "artwork" all over with her Instagram tag "creepytings." She thankfully documented most of it on her Instagram and Tumblr pages and was identified as Casey Nocket of NY.

Here is the petition on whitehouse.gov to prosecute her to the fullest extent:

They should make her clean up all that "art work" (some of the ugliest drawings I've seen). Then be prosecuted to the full extent.

Also this comment made me chuckle


If she really wants to be an “artist” do something artful and unique. For example: Take a selfie with a pine cone in your ass. She’d get a lot of “likes” for that.

If I lived in the US I would be all over signing this petition. I would like to see pictures of her removing her work. If she really wanted to do something artistic, it shouldn't involve defacing nature with her shitty work. Also all of her work doesn't even fit with her tag "creepy things". If she wanted to do a bunch of creepy thing's what she should have done is gone to all the top creepiest places in the world take a bunch of photos and photoshop the pictures. If she wanted to do something controversial(like for example Banksy seeing as she decided to call him out.) she should have done something with more meaning, or has a powerful message(and this next part is important) ON SOMETHING OTHER THAN NATURE!

I say we just hire her uncle to do what he does best to her... creepytings. Hell, that's basically what she just did to nature. She forced her shitty actions upon a defenseless rock. The pile of rocks didn't ask for it, they were just layin' there minding their own business when a random douche with a self-entitled attitude driven by a need to show dominance comes up and jabs a phallic shaped object onto them.


Worst part is, she's fucking shitty at what she does that she is fucking willing to ruin her shitty life over. What a dummy.

Haha, I posted this same idea in the comments of the second article (from this thread). She should get her crappy art tattooed on herself all over her body including a big trampstamp on her lower back wtih her tagname. Maybe then she'll understand what she's done.

The issue is that you can't just clean up acrylic paint off rocks like a spilled drink on tile. It mostly requires scraping it off, which damages the rock even further.

I hope they make an example of her.

This isn't her. It is a spinoff that some random person out of Portland made. Her username was simply "creepytings" and it is now gone.

Im not one for making example type of punishments but eould be down here. You destroy the wilderness and it will never be the same.
