Backcountry park ski

I am looking for a ski that skis as close as possible to a fully symmetrical park ski mounted true center that floats on powder. I want one that excels in backcountry wedges more so than pillow lines. Any suggestions?

Would it being asymmetrical throw the swing weigh off or make riding switch a challenge?

From my experience, a symmetrical ski does not make a huge difference in switch riding. And are you sure you want to center mount a pow ski? Even if it is a jib/backcountry booster ski, I would not mount it at true center.

Ok cool and no i was just wondering ive only skied park so far so this is all new stuff for me.

Center mounting a pow ski may not be the best idea because there is less ski in front of the binding, and more ski in front of the binding = more float.

Center mounted park skis are hype. Especially if you are coming from a center mounted park ski and want to have fun and hit some jumps.

The 4FRNT YLE is the perfect ski for you. It was designed as a ski for pure park skiers to feel comfortable on when they try out BC skiing, with a similar feel and style to a traditional symmetrical park ski. Most people here are right, a center mounted ski will not float as well as one that is mounted farther back. However, I believe the YLE's recommended point is about 2cm back, and that would be a good spot for you, and will keep you feeling still pretty comfortable. You won't have as much float as a ski mounted farther back, but the YLE is a 118 waisted ski with rocker. It will float just fine.

There are so many skis for this nowadays. YLE and xx110 would be my choices if I was spinning and flipping all the time..maybe in a few more seasons.
