FactionHeya, tanks for your interest in our skis.
Slightly biased opinion, but we are really stoked on the Candide 1.0s.
The main idea when redeveloping the skis was to make it as durable as possible : we went for thicker edges (2,5mm instead of 1,8mm) and added carbon reinforcement underfoot.
Symetrical sidecut, tip and tail rocker and 90mm waist make it a playful, fun ski to shred the park and all around as well.
If you want to try out a pair, make sure to keep an eye out on our Facebook page to find out about our next demo, or if you live around Breck, shoot us a PM and pop by our offices !
Cheers !
NegromancerAre the edges 2.5mm x 2.5mm?
BWalmerImportant question, and I believe the answer is no. Pretty sure there's only 3 companies out there running the 2.5x2.5 edge and 1.8 base (ON3P, J Skis, and Kitten Factory).
The Filthy Rich is my go to park ski, I'm pretty stuck with them, everything about them is perfect for park skiing (which is why they've gone unchanged for so long). They have a super fun turning radius, let them run long and fast or heel them in for tight turns. The flex is on point, stable underfoot for big landings, but soft in the tip and tail for butters. Durability is the biggest seller, I ski park about 80 days a season, ON3Ps are the only skis I've owned that have survived the whole season, and on top of that, they still had life left in them. My boss has said that if a nuclear bomb went off the only survivors would be cockroaches and my skis.
gameover2299Okay, well I'm leaning toward On3p (sorry faction) but what would you recommend Filthy riches? or the prester?
