how to bend ski brakes?

Anyway i just bought a pair of 4frnt msp 170 today but my break isnt wide enough, idont wanna buy a fat brake cuz they are like 40 bucks,any advice how i should bennd em? i only have to bend them like 2 to 3 mm on each side.

one of the ways is by taking a small piece of PVC pipe and just stick it on the brake and bend

the only advice i can give you is to not buy wider breaks and simply do without or DON'T BE CHEAP!!

yeah man you're gonna not have to be a cheap ass and get wide breaks; however if you're desperate you can take a broken ski pole (like cut in half or something) and take the end of it and it bends it pretty easily, or you could just use pvc pipe like someone said.

why would you buy wide breaks. thats stupid, and a waste of money. yeah.... use a broken ski pole, and just put it around it, and ebd out. make sure not to rip the break off the bindings though.

I bought wide brakes for thirty and sold my regular brakes for 20, try using your noggin and a puter.

i bent my brake the other day falling, my buddy bent it back without a problem. i doubt you'll have to buy the wide ones, but i dont know how wide ur skis' waists are, so i dont know how much youre gonna need to bend them

I had the same problem with my 180MSP's. I just used my hands and bent it far enough to clear. I was afraid if I used anything else id break the brakes. It's worked fine so far.

BE CAREFUL: bent brakes sometimes catch and do not release...
i accidentally klicked out the other day... like yesterday, and my ski rocketed at a 20 foot long box, slid the whole thing, then landed... chilled at warp speed towards a fat table and ALMOST cleared it...
so yeah, make sure you bend them enough...

i just put my skis on the floor, kneeled over them and pulled both brakes out by hand at the same time, worked perfect
