As the season is approaching, I find myself sitting here admiring my mittens and awaiting the first time I get to break them out on the mountain. Ik they're Neff but they look dope.
Pretty much these, but slightly different color. Not to hijack, but rated 4/5 warmth on Dakine website, but could still be a lot warmer, even with liners. Anyone know how to keep warmer hands?

If your mitts have space to accept a liner try getting some of these dipped gloves from home depot:
Then just use those inside your mitts. Some of those gloves have thicker rubber than others, I like thicker ones. I have a set inside my Swany Toasters and they were mega warm all last season. The nicest part about them is that if the palm of your mitts soak through from hiking rails, your hands will still be dry.
DingoSeanI have always used these Swany Tri-plex mittys and god they are always comfortable and warm no matter what.
Do you actually use the backhand pocket/access zipper for anything? That's why I like the the Toaster's index finger pocket. Set up with the dipped gloves, they're mega warm, and really nice for doing fine stuff with your fires through the side pocket.

I really don't use it much for anything. I've been in some pretty cold temps with these and never even felt the need to slap a hand warmer in these, they're so nice.
these things are great. 2 seasons and the only issues are that the design is coming off and the extra leather stuff on the side of the fingers has ripped off.
I can't find a picture but I have some level gloves from 2 years ago that are fantastic. They used to make my hands too hot but now that they're worn in I don't have the same problem and they still keep my hands warm. They're leather though and I should get some waterproofing this year
Got a pair of these for 15 dollars from the Army Surplus store. Super warm no matter how cold (thinsulate heatkeeper insulation). Waterproof even if the outside of the leather looks wet and soaked, my hands would never get wet. Very durable, i wore them at least 70 days last year and not even a scratch. These things kick ass and look cool in my opinion. Best 15 dollars I have spent and probably will never wear another glove.
^^ I have those too, love them for anything below freezing temps. Waterproof them and they'll wick away everything. Pretty much impossible to rip the thick leather too.
