every season i love checking out all the new collections. i love it when products drop, i love seeing the new designs, i studied this stuff after all and have a terrible shopping habit. so i want to know about your favorite brands and products. why you love them, what pieces you're stoked about this season, and even what you think is missing from collections, this year, or every year. what do you want more of, and what would you love to get your hands on? have you tried something new and want to let us know what you think? is there pieces in some collections that you just adore the fit and you think everyone should know about it?
personal favorite this season is the chalet jacket by orage, a city jacket in their new collection. this thing has good length, it's a perfect fit, stylist, comfortable, and sort of a chic twist on a casual classic piece. definitely nicer in person.
second is another orage jacket, that may be getting a bit of hype this season, we saw tatum monod rocking it, and the color ways are pretty bad ass, breaking off from orage's typical, it's a more tom boy varsity but feminine jacket.
the draw back is both jackets top out around 350$.
the nikita boxy hoodie and crew are typical simple, stylized, clean, and tall for women. so no chunky boy sleeves.
if you love oversized and chunky knits, nikita is where it's at. higher end prices, but i can honestly vouch for quality here. some more favorites include the wolf knit sweater,
falcon knit sweater
reverse knit cardigan for you hipster grandpa steeze
all topping around the 100$ mark.
i've always been a huge fan design wise for moment skis. i think their graphics are consistently killer, and their tip shape makes it such a unique product. their product descriptions are at times ridiculous, but i wouldn't have it any other way. one day i will experience the joy of ownership.
my one soul criticism on women's skis is generally design and color, however i want to point out one winner, armada.
i want to formally thank armada for not making women's skis pink and purple. i've raged about this so much. their designs are clean, playful and stylish. not even overly girly.
i think boot design has made such a major change. and i've always heard "blah blah, who cares about it, it's just a boot." but in the world of consumerism, look can sell a product just as well as fit. so if you have a boot that looks sexy, and fits sexy, you have one sexy product. at the end of the day, maybe it's because i've stuck my nose in design, or because i have a shoe problem, but look is still important to me. again with boots i've found them super feminine, dainty and powdery white with a romantic pinstripe and swirls and flowers. no thanks.
i saw a pair of k2 boots recently, and i was impressed. the design was forward, in your face, though pink, it was still kind of badass, the minaret is a freeride boot for the ladies.
