Fischer Nightstick

Hey NS
I'm looking at buying the Fischer nightstick and it looks like a pretty good ski for the money.however I was just wondering what experience people on here have had with them (durability,stability,speed etc.) I would be using them for 99% park.

Friend of mine owns a pair and he loves it. He's abused and its still in one piece so the durability is not an issue. They are quite on the stiff side of the usual park with its carbon fibre underfoot if thats what you're looking for op.

I don't like being a hater man, but I wouldn't go with fischers. Theres a reason everybody in the park is on core free ski brands like line, k2, 4frnt when riding in the park. the flex/camber/shape profile on fishers isn't as dialed as other brands that are much more focused on the freeski scene. Its possible to ski park on fishers but you're not gonna have as fun or easy a time as your friends

I've skied 5 or 6 different Fischer skis and they all skied so well, even 84mm Wateas. Such an underrated brand. If I was shopping for a pure park ski these would be high on the list.

Oh really? I read a lot of bullshit and opinions and accept that the poster might be right but here your are just wrong. Flex/Camber/Shape Profile not being dialed is just bullshit…the ski is a symmetrical, traditional camber, competitive park ski, besides who the fuck are you to make a comment like that. Maybe it sounds like I have a stick up my ass but what the fuck?

OP, feel free to PM me with any questions on them…I've logged plenty of hours on them as well as similar skis (wall, punx, etc) and will be more than happy to provide any answers for you

Ya they should be a great ski. They did kind of win the Olympics and they look like pretty nice skis for the price.

Ever skied on a pair? No? Then STFU!!

Straight up, there's a reason they were once voted as the number 1 park ski on the market. You don't see a lot of people skiing them because Fischer doesn't put much effort or money towards the park and pipe program.

Joss Christensen won the Sochi Olympics on them so there's no need to question the design. If you like a full camber park ski then there's no reason you shouldn't look at these.

they are a german company from what i understand, and they have great knowhow to draw from there Tennis racquet department on composite technology etc.

I fear the day that cometh when volkl/head/armada put together their nazi brainpower and build
a ski that is truly indestructible.

volkls and fischers are already pretty tough from what ive seen, but i dont think these german companies have been giving 100% to building the ski equivalent to the panzer tank or mercedes 190d.

maybe someday.

I still pop by now and then...

Fischer is Austrian. It's actually one of the only (if not only) full service brand that is still family owned.

Do you like a full cambered, symmetrical ski? If yes, you'll love the Nightstick. If no, then you might be best to move to a different ski. Personally I love the Nightstick as a pipe ski. For mobbing around the whole mountain I picked up a pair of Ranger 94fr this year and they've been awesome.

They are exactly the same as the Fischer Addict from ~2009-10 with different name and graphics. They're surprisingly versatile for a symmetrical park ski. My favourite ski I've used in moguls. They started off being quite stiff but after a few weeks mellowed out to a mid flex, even throughout the ski. They were one of my favourite park skis for jumps. Pretty stable and good pop. Mediocre durability. The top sheet chipped and peeled extensively. Edge cracks happened in the usual amount of time, but pieces of the edge started coming out very soon after cracking started. They got large core shots very easily, like they would have a core shot at the end of the day that I couldn't recall what it would have been from. When I got new skis my little brother used them for a few weeks and snapped one of them.

He's the opposite of a jellyfish. The guy is one of the hardest rippers I've seen in person.
