Freestyle powder skis?

Which Brand/ski is the best for sending booters and dropping cliffs?
Do I want something really surfy are charging? this is my first year getting into the powder scene. (park before) I like softish park skis.

5'11 175 pounds. aggressive..
thinking about some atomic bentchetlers

YLE's are good, haven't ridden mine but I can't wait! Chet's are good, pollard opus is apparently going to be a bad ass ski next year with some changes.

Depends if you want a big difference in your pow ski or not. Stiff vs soft will be a big decider on your ski, and that'll really help narrow down your choices. Tell us more about yourself.

a 191 caylor might be a bit much for what he is looking for, i dont know how they compare to the new jeffreys though. the bentchetlers would be a more forgiving ski for someone just getting out of the park. a 181 caylor might be perfect, it would be a big jump to go from a softish 176-ish(guessing) park ski all the way to a 191 caylor.
i am 6', 175lbs and have 191 caylors and 192 bentchetlers. to me the atomics are a little more surfy and playful, whereas the caylors are stiffer and very confidently charge any line in front of them. dont get me wrong, they are still playful but it takes a lot more energy.

Haha yeah go with something around 190. I'm 5'7" 140 lbs and ski 183 Bent Chetlers so the 192's to you would be more or less like the 183's are to me. They are a sweet ski... you wouldn't be disappointed. And if you go that way don't blow your money on the 2015 ones. To be honest the new tip design is more of a marketing strategy to draw attention back to a model that didn't sell as well as expected the previous season than a true upgrade.

If you are looking for something similar, but with a more damp feel the Caylors/Jefferys would be a good route.

Honestly all suggestions that have been made are solid suggestions. I'm partial to Bent Chetlers because I think they are super playful and fun but still able to go hard (as long as you aren't afraid of the flapping tips when you're at speed in the crud).

then stepping up into the 190's probably wont be a huge difference for you. if i were in your position i would get something in the 180s if i wanted to jib/play around more, 190s if i wanted something to charge on. thats just me though.

K2 Hellbent is a great all-around powder freestyle ski. its surfy, and on the softer side. basically its K2s version of the bentchetlers. the hellbents are a 50/50 rockered/cambered freestlye ski designed for the pow, hope that helps man!

rougly your size and weight and have 183 bent chectlers mounted near centre and love them.

That said my hard pack ski is a 169( yes i know i need to get longer ones) and i dont ski much park.

Op size wise it totally comes down to what you wan to do. If you want to take park tricks into te pow somthing like a 184 bent or rocker 122 would be ideal. The 184 rocker 122 is what I ride an I'm your size pretty much. Make sure not to center them and they will be plenty big enough if your after a playful pow ski. If you want to straight line big lines and ski as fast a you can all the time going up to a 190+ ski will be what your after but don't expect them to be that playful. But this is why you really should demo. Your not just trying differnt skis but you can find the ideal length and mount point on a given ski. Honestly spending hundreds of dollers without first trying the skis is crazy to me.

may i suggest the new lifes? they're all symmetrical and are about 122 at the waist. they're fat, but they charge hard on everything, plus you might want something that's pretty stable if you wanna charge, from my experiences noodly skis can feel a bit unstable at high speeds.

The Line Magnum Opus are supposed to be really really good, and they will weight as much as your parkskis. Check out reviews on Blistergearreview.com and the like, to get an image of the different skis characteristics.

Yea im all for carbon fiber but my paycheck isn't.

I picked up some 183 bentchetlers for 200 bucks.. They might be a bit short but at least i will know what i want for next year.

Presonally I am 5 10ish and have 183 bentchetlers and wouldn't go longer
