Rusty pipe

I have some rusty 2 inch pipes and I'm thinking of using them for rails for my summer set up.What do i do to them to make them slide able? Do I paint them sand them or just hit them until it smooth ens out.Any tips on what to do please help.

Dip them into a vat of blended hot dogs, you will be sliding with blursting speed in no time!

If you have access to an angle grinder go get yourself a wire wheel from home depot.

If you're super broke or don't have an angle grinder, a stack of 3M pads will work pretty well as long as the rust isn't scaling and flaking off.

Should sand it first. Just one question for you. How do you put a space in between the end of your sentence and the period?

This. You can get a grinder as cheap as 15 bucks at harbor frieght. Dont run too big of a wire brush or youll fry your grinder from the weight.

Who doesnt love a nice clean slick rail. If you glt a grinder you can hit the top with a flap disk as well. Get that shit nice and shiny. Chuck some sprag paint on it. Will come off easy where youre grindong but protect the rest.
