.squirrely.Looking at the extended forecast Ill put $20 on k town opening day being oct 24
yelselonce it gets cold enough, they'll start making snow or maybe we'll be blessed with another huge storm in october like we did a few years ago. nothing like skiing before halloween.
Huck_Norris*in a massive crowd.
Part of the opening season spectacle is the whole "skiing in a full-on crowd, emergency evasions and almost killing children" thing. Something about it's horrible awfulness makes it so fucking awesome.

airicktharedAnd everyone just fucking sending it off of that little jump on the side that develops before the lift. There's almost always and few collisions, rarely do people get mad. Everyone just so pumped. I remember last year it started snowing and people went crazy.

Duck_SauceSure thing. Well, in correlation to elevation, we all know temperature changes. it goes roughly 3.3 degrees cooler from the base every 1000 vertical feet, but thats with cloud cover. without cloud cover its roughly 5 degrees colder per 1000 feet. well using this knowledge plus the fact that killy is a bit over 3000 feet, even with the shitty rainy temps this coming week at night it will still be close to 10 degrees colder at the top. this being said, humidity is a real bitch. its gonna be super high and will hamper the process of snowmaking. they will probably test the guns tonight but not start til next weekend
Petey.
A_Burgerwill they be open on election day? I think they stayed open weekdays in the past but I forget
yelselthey dont even have any snow yet.
A_Burgerthey've opened before the first the past 3 years. all I'm asking anyways is if they open on weekdays that early
Huck_NorrisThey have these things called websites where they post info like that. Crazy, I know.
airicktharedIt's been so warm though I can't even find if they have been able to blow snow or not.
