On another note, this reminds me of something I saw on the news yesterday: They were quoting the nurse who got Ebola and she said something about being blessed to have so many people taking care of her and wishing her well. Blessed!?!

SFBim not religious, but you're missing the point of believing in god, its not believing that through faith you will be protected from all of lifes harm, its that you can share your burden with a higher power and for some people it means a lot.

louie.miragsNo. I think the theory of God is just comforting. What I do not get (and what you're not getting) is why is God blessing her with these caring people, but he isn't responsible for ebola? Another example, people will think God for saving their house in a tornado, but how about the other houses that weren't saved? That doesn't make any sense?
