Just thinking about a lot of flaws this one brand has (won't name names) and it got me thinking about this. If a company went under who would you think it would be? We've seem klint go under. So NS, what ski company do you think would go out of business and why? Not that I think any brand is gonna tank soon, but if say someone told you a ski company went out of business, what company would you think went under?
Actually after their bankruptcy a few years a go, they were bought by some big player and I think they will survive. Defo seeing more of them in europe.
Im sad to say this. As an owner of a redux jacket and pants that I still get complimented on. But Lethal Descent hasnt shown signs of life in over a year. Still so sad, Karl rocked the shit out of their old stuff
You gotta watch out for companies that are spending a ton of money on athletes and marketing. That's a gamble, so it might seem like a certain company might be about to blow up, but if all that flash doesn't translate into sales within a year or two, they go the way of Klint and Coreupt. Those two companies seemed like they were the next big thing, but the gamble didn't pay off.
loganschnurMoment, haven't seen much from them in recent years.
Just because their presence isn't heavy in the freeski world, nearly every local from Reno rides them. If you go to Mt Rose almost all the adults have them.
People need to take a microeconomics class and come back to this thread because everything you guys say just boggles my mind with unsupported claims that have no base in actual economic analysis. Besides, save everyone 10 minutes and actually look up a QER on a company to know their financial position. Publicly traded companies are required by the SEC to report pro forma statements that can be analyzed to determine profitability. Its literally peoples jobs to do this.

Yah because every ski company that is involved in this industry is publicly traded.
Any publicly traded ski company probably is pretty safe from going under.

I know a lot of people wont care but...
I've taken graduate school level microeconomics. oh, by the way you would have a hard time finding this information on K2. You could certainly find that information about Jarden Corporation as a whole, but those financials will most likely only reflect how the entire corporation is doing with all their brands that include K2, Mr. Coffee, Sunbeam, Marmot, Bicycle playing cards, Mr. Quickie, Coleman, Rawlings, Line, Ride, Crock Pot, Abu Garcia fishing rods, Shakespeare fishing stuff, and like a 100 more brands.
You would need an analyst to tell you specifically about K2, and there might not even be an analyst that specializes in Jarden Corporation.

saracheezyklint went under due to a divorce in the family of ownership, not mismanagement of sponsorship funds. still money-related i guess
Yeah, I heard after the divorce the wife got all the money and there was not other choice but to close down, they had some sick skis, I'm sure my pipestars are still kicking, with who ever has them now
