So about two years ago when I started skiing park, I was misguided into buying volkl bridges, which aren't very suitable for park skiing. After a season and a half of getting by with them in the park I decided to buy armada thalls, a park specific ski, for this upcoming season. Comparing things like weight, flex, and swing weight between the two skis, they seem very similar. Is there really that much of a difference between these skis, or did I just waste money on a different topsheet?
The only real difference I notice in skiing on different skis is just a little bit of a weight difference. Other than that skis are really the same. Maybe some pops will be better than others and the camber and shape of the ski might change the feel. Getting used to the skis and getting used to the swing is the adjustment you have to make no matter what ski you have.
Well for what its worth, the volkl bridge is a sick park stick if it fits your style. I know some people who swear by them that absolutely slay. As for differing skis, yes there are massive differences between brand products and then products under the same brand as well
