a lot of it could have been due to speed. i know that when i was in hood skiin on the lower park sometimes it was incredibly hard to get speed due to sunny, warm days and low angle trails. notice how they started on the big jumps and by the end of the day keefer could barely get speed on the small ones

The features are really spaced out, sticky, setup for snowboarders, brutally rutted and there's a tonne of ice everywhere when it's cold. I've ridden way better parks

Laax is an awesome park, and mountain. It does have a very long park lap, but that also means many features.
