Replying to I'm gonna make a jib setup in my bedroom
Seeing as my sanity level has clearly reached an extremely low point, and that I still won't see snow for 2 months, im gonna make the possibly smallest rail setup in history of rail setups, in my bedroom.
I won't be using skis doe, ski blades will have to do (room way too small for skis)
Here's why i need NS' help for (what you need to read):
- I need the best way to minimise friction between skis and dropping ramp (i considered ice, yes, i did, but too complicated and annoying) knowing that it'll be around 2m length tops and not super angled. I heard orange construction fence is the best for actual summer setups, but again, i f i want this to work, i need the absolute maximum amount of speed i can get. So what's the best thing here? oh, inb4 goat semen (heard it eats through your bases after a while)
- I also need to minimise friction between skis and rail (right now im thinking of making a thin, 10-15cm large shotgun rail). What's gonna be the best material for this? Pvc? Super filed slippery ass metal? Something else? and no, im not gonna put oil on the rail, i want this to work on the long term.
Here's my situation in terms of measurement if you wanna know:
My bed is 45cm from the ground, and the longest i have is 3.5m (from the bed to my window) i have 160cm width all the way on those 3.5m (ski blades are 60cm, which leaves 50cm of "fall zone" on each side of the rail/tbox)
I need the rail to be 150cm, the landing zone 90cm (and ill put a mattress against the window so that i don't smash through it xD) and therefore have a max length of 110cm for a tranny and a mini kicker (rail will be around 20cm high so that i can pretz). The dropping ramp will start on my bed as far as possible, still working out the best angles for optimal speed and tranny.
So there. Don't tell me that it's a stupid ass idea that'll never work, I'm doing it anyways. If you want i'll make a (rather shitty) making of and first hit (and if successful full edit) edit.
