Ok.
Getting skis mounted in a shop is a really simple thing, but if you don’t do it correctly, it can be a headache.

-Take your boots in with your skis. This ensures that they get the forward pressure set properly.
-Write down your instructions. Especially if somebody else(like your mommy) is dropping them off for you. Ski shops are busy, techs forget instructions sometimes.
-Mark where you want your skis mounted. Put a big piece of masking tape on your skis and draw a line on it that says "boot centerline".
-Make sure that when you drop off your gear that all the screws and brakes are accounted for.
-If you have any special requests (DIN, etc), WRITE THEM DOWN on the work order and sign beside them.
-Don't bitch about paying $30 for the work. Ski shops are a business, and their time is worth money. And don't get your stuff mounted at a big box store. Support your ski community. That includes REI.

For the last 15 years, I've followed that advice, and never had an issue.
