dadiI feel bad posting on this because i'm not a huge part of the community but i want to be (!), I'm getting my tattoo in less than 5 days and am actually quite scared about the pain. Any tattoo stores to share? maybe ease my mind....
flowydude that's exciting! try to channel your excitement over your fear, plus when it's going on adrenaline will kick in and the pain won't be as bad as you are probably imagining. where you getting it/how big is it?
people like to hype up the pain, it kinda feels like a continuous wasp sting but it eases off

taylornickyI've been in the market for one. I've decided on the pow slayer or the untracked. I have the knife ridge right now and it's not as warm as I want it to be. It's a nice jacket for cold day walking around, but I'm not a huge fan of skiing in it.

flowyI've been looking at them so ages but I can't decide how insulated a jacket I wanna get cause I don't wanna get too warm when skiing but need it warm enough when i'm just on the slope and faaaaaaack! I'll have a closer look at those ones though
taylornickyYeah I'm in the same situation. You can always layer though! Grab a pata base layer while you're at it with the jacket.

So my roommates friend bought a cat, that she can't bring home(???) cause her dad's allergic... but she reallyyyyy wanted this fucking thing so I guess that makes it okay??? so my roommate agreed to house it at our apartment without asking me. I couldn't breathe being in a house for 45 minutes where a cat USED to live, let alone a cat that actually lives there. So I was like no.. I will literally die and she was like well "too late the adoption papers are already done you should have been home this afternoon"
FUCK YOU A HUNDRED FUCKING TIMES.
But, this may be a way for me to get out of my lease, if my living conditions actually cause harm to my health then I can legally move out. So I guess it's not all bad. I'll probably just have to go to the emergency room for like as many/few consecutive nights as possible before I can prove I can't live there.

I feel mean whenever I say it but it's true. like I watch/listen/read about these groups of buddies that climb yosemite (yvon chouinard, royal robbins and stuff) and how they'd just live doing that and having the best time or groups that just live to ski and that's all that matters and i'm just like !!!!!! i want that!!!!!!

HawleywoodSame here and it only seems harder to find as I get older. I've lost touch with a lot of people cause we just weren't into the same things anymore. I ski by myself a lot now since my son was born and me and my man take turns.. :( He's getting older at least so this year we will get him out a little more but he's not ready for any big stuff.
