ethanzattaI told him to mount as close to the center as possible. He must have taken that in a different way because I just have a regular mount on my skis now. I am planning to get them remounted. Should I do anything about them doing it wrong? Or was that just on me.
First off- I don't mean this in any dick way but this is your fault, unfortunately. If you leave a mount up to someone else's interpretation, then you will not get what you want. Your directions were very unclear.
What you should do to avoid any confusion in the future is mark directly on the ski (either on a piece of tape or directly on the top sheet) a horizontal line where you want your boot's midsole placed. The midsole of the boot is physically indicated on middle of the boot's shell. This will ensure that no misinterpretation can be made and if a mistake is made during the mounting process, the fault will be with the shop/technician.
