So my roommate is into vaping. His professional vape pen hits like a mofo. And we both love vaping in our room, but it creates soooo much smoke that it set off the fire alarm. Cops and fire department came and everything. And we thought we got busted because theres no smoking in our dorm at all. But because vaping gives off a fruity aroma, we told the cop we burnt a poptart, flushed it down the toilet and sprayed febreeze. The cop was like, "Yep! febreeze will do it. Just try not to spray it near the alarm." So basically we got off scot free. So we wanna still smoke in here but if we set it off again the the cops have to do an investigation. Do you guys know if you can like cover up the alarm and not have it go off? Like tape a bowl of it? Or is this just a bad idea?
lemme clarify. we like doing smoke tricks n shit. so the window fan thing works, but only if we wanna just vape... can't do smoke tricks with a air current...
Take an empty paper towel roll, stuff a bunch of dryer sheets into it and tada! Just blow into the roll and no smell or setting off the fire alarm. Also works with a empty juice bottle

Just keep some dry wood, gas, and matches in your dorm. That way if the alarm goes off again you can quickly start a fire and they won't know you were blazing
Am I missing something here? Vape is VAPOR, not smoke. How the fuck does it set off a fire alarm? When you take a shower does it go off? Just put a bag around the alarm.

An aspirating smoke detector (ASD), consists of a central detection unit which draws air through a network of pipes to detect smoke. The sampling chamber is based on a nephelometer that detects the presence of smoke particles suspended in air by detecting the light scattered by them in the chamber.
So basically any aerosol, be it vapor, smoke, febreeze, that goes into the smoke detector at a large enough concentration to scatter the light will set off the alarm. Seeing as how OP lives in a dorm, the smoke detector is probably selected to be hyper sensitive.
I found that sticking the vape pen up your bum and sucking in (like trying to suck in a fart) hides the smoke really well. It also gives you a dope body high
Dude really? just cover the bitch with one of those latex gloves and tape it well. Works with a condom too, i've done it with both to smoke cigs which probs made as much smoke. And don't smoke up the fucking room, take easier puffs and wait for the smoke to clear a little before taking another hit...
is it really that difficult to walk outside and burn? i understand that dorm room smoking is very appealing, but if you guys really wanna smoke, nothing is stopping you from walking outside and going on a quick stroll.
