Anybody else prefer to watch snowboarding? I'm a skier and love ski edits but for the most part I find that a typical snowboard edit is more fun to watch than a typical ski edit. I think the aesthetic of low-angle fisheye mixed with long lens (more skate style) is for the most part more entertaining than the basic dslr glidecam that seems to saturate ski edits.
I think since the freeski community is so tight and consolidated on websites like this one or TGR, the media that comes out tends to be more similar then different. trends are followed and copied because we can see everything else everyone is doing in skiing. Maybe if I watched as much snowboarding as i do skiing i'd feel that boarders are too similar to each other.
