So two years ago when I started park skiing I was misguided into buying 2012 volkl bridges. After I purchased them I read online that they weren't very suitable for park. I agreed, they felt dead on my feet, there was no pop, and the swing weight was awful. I skied the two seasons on them in park regardless because I couldn't afford to buy new skis. This year however I got a new job and saved up for armada thalls thinking they'll be a load different and help me ski better since they are park specific skis, but comparing them to my volkl bridges, they seem to be the same weight, flex, and swing weight. Is there really that much of a difference between skiing on these two skis in the park? Or did i just waste money on a new topsheet?
The only real difference I notice in skiing on different skis is just a little bit of a weight difference. Other than that skis are really the same. Maybe some pops will be better than others and the camber and shape of the ski might change the feel. Getting used to the skis and getting used to the swing is the adjustment you have to make no matter what ski you have.
