Dane Tudor underrated?

Title says it all. Anyone else think Dane Tudor is vastly underrated? IMO he is one of the top all around skiers in the game the last 5 years and yet doesn't get nearly the recognition of some of the other big names. Look at his competition results, his industry awards, and his movie parts. I find his movie parts to consistently be the best all around part in any of the poor boys movies he has been in. He devotes almost all of his time to pow, yet was one of the first guys to throw a triple flip. Just don't feel this guy gets the recognition he deserves.

I dont think he is underrated, I knew exactly who he was during EDIAS and that switch triple video, but then he fell off I feel like, minimal segments in PBP and on exist ant in the comp scene. I don't see much of him.

With that being said, He is definitely underrated now.

With that being said, He is definitely underrated now.


Thats because he hurt himself. plus he is filming for TGR more these days since he went from salomon to scott. Dane had the opportunity to try out for the Australian olympic slopestyle team, however he just isnt that into commiting his skiing to comps. he now just slaying at revelstoke killing it in the backcountry and on those booters.
In my opinion, he is the most under rated skier in the game. he is on par with sammy for backcountry shredding and that switch triple was perfect!

Dane is a strraight up OG killa. legend in the skiing world, EASILY. He is by no means underated in my books, that nigga got da bounce.

I really liked his XGames segment... and it was like the only one which had an actual line in it and not just jumping.

It's a shame he didn't get more love for that.

Candide is better than all of them also john Spriggs kills it and tanner .. But Dane is top 5 allround for sure Bernie Roswow also should be listed he's so good it hurts and he's doesn't even get paid from sponsors just under ground shred head..

Parker White is underrated I feel too. Sammy, people are still trying to grasp how good he is because he progresses so much every season, and Dane Tudor being one of the most underrated.

He got my vote. As good as the other ones were definitely though his was the best all around "backcountry" segment.

Dane could well be my favorite skier. I think the only reason he hasn't been talked about much lately is because he was injured for a while. But check his season edit!

not hating on any of these skiers they deserve all the success the ski industry has to offer, but i haven't seen candide or permin do urban in a really long time, tanner doesn't shred park as hard, spriggs does it all really well but i feel like tudor edges him out slightly on all fronts, parker and chris logan are really well rounded and have amazing style but i think tudor is more technical in the lines he chooses and his jumping

Dane Tudor is underrated but I have to disagree with some of this. IMO Parker White is every bit as good as Dane just because Dane is underrated doesn't mean he is better then everyone else. Its incredibly tough to compare skier to skier with these top guys as they are all so good in slightly different ways. But I don't think you can say Dane is better then Parker or vice versa.

To me he is not underrated at all. As you can see, you are not the only one thinking he is part of the best skiers right now, and in every aspect. So why is he still underrated in your mind if he already have, as you mentionned, results, awards & movie parts... What else does he needs not to be underrated and to get the proper recognition? To me, he is known worldwide as one of the best.

I don't know if underrated is really the right word but he is surprisingly no as well known as you would think so if that's what you mean by underrated, then yes.

1st Sammy Carlson
2nd Dane Tudor
3rd Joe Schuster

This thread is way off line... Don't get me wrong. Dane is the man but underrated?!?!?!? What about his segment earning him an Xgames realski medal makes you think he is underrated? His accolades have earned him heli time and camera time and he has used both to put out huge segments for the better part of a decade.
