Need some help/what should i do?

Hi NS.
So, I'm new here, but this is what I want to talk about, I live in AK and started a lot later in freeskiing than my other friends, and because of that, they don't think I'm as good as them, they always put me down saying I'm not very good, even though I'm much better at actual tricks and stuff. So this year I decided to make a video with some friends that don't do that, but keep it secret until the end of the year. I hope it will prove myself to my "friends". So what I'm asking is what are some filming/editing tips or any kind of tips to get a new crew off the ground that you guys have? thanks.

Is this real life? I mean, do people really act like that? I've encountered one or two douchebags in my life, but never heard of friends putting each other down like that. Is that common in North America? There seems to be loads of threads concerning this or that people in the park are generally putting other people down. I have just never experienced this, so I'm curious.

I don't think that you need to make a video. Just talk to your friends about and if they're true friends then they should listen and respect what you have to say. If not then I think it's time to find a new group to ski with. Or if you really want to show them up, enter into some comps and see who really is better.

I usually only ski with one of my friends. Yeah we might laugh at each others falls and mistakes but it's all in good heart. We always push each other to be better and are encouraging and that's what matters.

Ski with these people more and your other "friends" less. I remember being the worst in the group. A little hard work will get you to the top of the food chain. But don't let your progression take the fun out of skiing.

So basically you're skiing for your "friends" who actually just sound like assholes. Why aren't you skiing for yourself? Then it sounds like you have a love-triangle of groups of friends and the group of friends you're currently with are not the friends you want to commit to, so you're just using them to make the friends you want to be with jealous so that they will commit to you. So fucked up. Just go skiing.
