Best way to mount a gopro to a ski? Best ski angles?

I would imagine screwing it into your ski wouldn't be to bad if it was in the right spot would also depend on how long the screw is because skis are not very thick meaning it would probably have to be pretty close to your bindings. If you decide to go the traditional ski mount with the stick on mount i would attach the gopro with a string of some kind to your boots/binding just in case.

do really think shots looking up at the skier look sick though so maybe its worth looking abit more into the screw on one, might ask in a shop if its possible

Try using a regular mount and heat up the mount and warm up the ski for best adhesion. Also try using a adhesive around the mount that can come off with heat if you are really concerned.
Drilling holes in your skis for a mount is not a good idea unless you want waterlogged cores after the screw gets stripped out by a good crash.

I don't know if screwing the mount on your skis would work well. Personally, I wouldn't risk it. But I'd TRY the adhesive mount and check it now and then before going down a slope (just to make sure it's secure). If that doesn't work, I really like GoPoles and the even though it looks kinda weird, I use the chest mount from time to time and get really good footage from both. Hope that helped a little!

Ive got the definitive answer on this one, as Ive seen it done. First off, do NOT use the GoPro sticky mounts, they WILL NOT HOLD. I tried that out a few years ago, made sure the ski was room temp and stuck the mount on out near the tip just before the ski started to rocker up. I let it set for 24 hours and took it out without the camera mounted to see if it would stay on. Half way down my first groomer run the thing was long gone. A shop tech told me the way people get them to stay on is they take the base of a traditional camera mount, the female end, and screw it into the ski. Apparently they are roughly the same depth as a binding screw. You sink the base into the ski, and when you want to use the gopro on it you attach the basic tripod male camera mount to the gopro and just screw it in. If you are extra worried about it coming off you can use loctite.

No do not do that. The problem with skis and snowboards is that they flex, like ALOT. The sticky mounts can handle a little flex before coming off, the suction cups cant handle any flex, flex what they are mounted to and they come right off.
