-emile-No matter how closely you approximate the circle , the orthogonal lines of the square corners aren't actually tangential to the circle.
therefore pi =/= 4
next question ?
Sh4dowDoes .999...=1?
-emile-yes

-emile-1/3 = .33333...
2/3 = .66666...
3/3 = ?
zzzskizzzthat's why the imperial system makes sense, metric system you divide everything by 10. a foot or 12 can be half quartered or split in three. plus it goes into a base 12, and base 16 perfect squares. suck it Europe
I'm an engineer, I know more than you[/QUOTEkek
TOAST.Would still prefer the metric system from an engineering standpoint. If I need to go less than an inch, I have to go into fractions of an inch. If I want less than a centimeter I just go to millimeters. And dividing 10s is pretty damn easy, sure you may get some repeating numbers, but that aint no big deal.
SideShowBobIt does not, and .999 doesn't= 1, both these are due to the capabilities of technology, as a calcuator that has .999999999999 in it will just round to 1, when in actuality it's obviously always going to be .00000000000000...001 off.
