I get about 5-6hrs a night on avg. Can't fall asleep before 2am no matter what time I get up at the day before, 6am or noon, doesn't matter.

zzzskizzzyou are the last person who should be talking about scientific studies. The new consensus on it, is depending on the person you need 5 to 10 hours of sleep. Anyone who sleeps more or less outside of that window statistically will lived a much shorter life.

Just google it, when somebody has a massive head trauma they should not immediately go to sleep, when you hit your head a lot of things can go wrong within the first couple hours.

I can only find that it is a myth. If the head injury is major enough that you have to stop the patient from falling asleep, they should be in the hospital. For all else, waking them up every few hours to make sure their condition hasn't worsened is all I got. Nothing that if they fall asleep they die or slip into a coma.
